Refund Policy

MAXIMERGE FINANCE LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") welcomes you to use PocketLoan. This Refund Policy ("Policy") defines the scope and conditions for refund requests for services paid via the application.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to all borrowers engaging in retail credit transactions with the Company in Nigeria. It is to be read in conjunction with the Company's other terms and conditions. In case of conflict, the Loan Agreement or applicable Nigerian law will prevail.

Note: No fees or charges will be collected from the borrower before loan approval and disbursement.

2. Refund Scenarios

2.1 Loan Application Cancellation (Before Disbursement)

Borrowers may cancel the loan application before disbursement without any refund requirement, as no fees are charged at this stage.

If the loan is delayed due to the Company's reasons, borrowers may cancel their application, but the Company is not liable for any losses unless stated otherwise in the Loan Agreement.

2.2 Early Repayment

Borrowers wishing to repay early must submit the request at least 24 hours in advance.

Borrowers must pay principal and interest calculated up to the original due date. Once approved, the Company will refund any overpaid interest or fees within 3 business days via the original payment channel.

2.3 Overpayment or Erroneous Payment

Refund requests for overpayments or errors should be submitted within 15 business days of discovery. The Company will complete investigation within 7 business days and refund within 3 business days after completion.

For system errors, full refund will be issued within 1 business day with an apology.

2.4 Company Error

If errors occur in interest or fee calculation, borrowers must submit a refund request within 30 business days of discovery.

The Company will investigate within 10 business days and refund any overcharged amount within 5 business days along with 5% compensation.

Borrowers will be notified of review results via email or other contact methods.

Approved refunds will be transferred to the borrower's bank or wallet account within 5-7 business days.

6. Dispute Resolution and Policy Updates

6.1 Disputes can be submitted within 7 business days of receiving the refund result. Investigation completed within 5 business days.

6.2 If unresolved, borrowers may approach Nigerian financial regulators or follow Loan Agreement dispute resolution (negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation).

6.3 The Company may modify this Policy as required by law or business needs, with notice at least 7 business days in advance.

Important Note: This Refund Policy is part of PocketLoan Service Terms. Each refund request is reviewed individually in accordance with Nigerian law principles.
