We request access to your camera so you can take photos of your ID and face, and upload them to our platform to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification required for loan services.

We do not access the photos or videos stored on your device.

Camera access requires your explicit consent; if permission is not granted, you will not be able to take or upload images for verification.

3. Emergency Contacts

We only collect information for two emergency contacts, including their relationship, name, and phone number. This information is used solely to verify the borrower’s identity, assess eligibility, and conduct risk analysis and fraud prevention.

The automatic option is a convenient method that allows you to select specific contacts and quickly upload their information to our app. It’s important to note that this method only collects information from contacts you explicitly choose and does not access your entire contact list.

We will never share your data with third parties without your permission. Your information will be securely transmitted and stored on our servers via an HTTPS connection.

4. Face Recognition

When you use the camera for liveness detection (biometric verification), our app leverages Apple’s TrueDepth API to collect temporary 3D facial mesh data and facial landmarks. This data is processed locally on your device exclusively for liveness detection and is never stored permanently. It is not shared with third parties, used for any other purpose, or retained beyond the immediate verification process. All facial data is automatically deleted when the app is uninstalled from your device.

To ensure the stability and security of our service, we collect basic information about your device, including the model, operating system version, advertising identifiers (such as GAID / IDFA), network type, as well as language and time zone settings.

We retain your information to provide you with a smooth experience, contact you for support, manage your account, and detect, mitigate, prevent, and investigate fraudulent or illegal activities. Your information is kept as long as necessary to provide our services.

To protect users' privacy and take responsibility for their data, we offer the option to delete accounts on our APP and website (https://www.maximerge.finance). Once deleted, you will no longer be able to use our services, and the data cannot be recovered.

If your loan application is in progress, has been disbursed, or has an outstanding balance, we will not be able to delete your account immediately. PocketLoan will continue to retain your data until all amounts are settled as required by law and our legitimate business needs.

After deleting your account, you may re-register using the same mobile number. To prevent fraud and abuse, a waiting period of 15 days applies before you can register again with the same number. We reserve the right to restrict registration from mobile numbers that have requested deletion excessively, as determined by our fraud prevention policies.
